FAQ
Is it a real house?
Yes. Elementa homes are engineered to Australian standards and certified for their approval pathway — a residential-standard home built to last, not a flat-pack kit or a temporary structure.
Is it permanent, or can it be moved?
Elementa Home is a permanent home (NCC Class 1a). Elementa Studio is supplied as a moveable dwelling — a residential-standard home with the flexibility to be relocated if your plans change. Both are engineered and certified to Australian standards.
Do I need council approval?
Yes — and the right approval pathway depends on the home and your site. We confirm which pathway applies to your block as the first step, and we don't promise approval until your site has been reviewed.
What if my site is tricky?
That's why we start with feasibility: we review your land, zoning and pathway before you commit, so the questions your council will ask are answered up front.
What's included?
A defined scope, contracted in writing: what we supply — your home, complete and certified, with its documentation — and what your licensed trades complete on site (footings, connections, handover). Defined responsibilities keep your pricing accurate.
Who does the site work?
A licensed builder completes the siteworks — footings, connections and handover — with full documentation from us. We stay available throughout.
How long does it take?
Your home is built in a controlled factory programme while your site is prepared in parallel, then delivered and connected. We set out a coordinated timeline in writing before anything is made.
Can I get finance?
Yes — many buyers do. Because it's built off-site, the payment stages work differently to a conventional on-site build; we set those out in writing up front, and can point you to lenders who understand modular construction.
What warranty do I get?
Two layers. The home carries written warranties from us — 7 years structural, 12 months on the fit-out. The site works your licensed builder completes carry their own statutory builder's warranty. You get it all in writing before you commit.
